Social-environment factors by region of 65 years old and over

Abstract

|
|
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to analyze the socialenvironment factors by region of 65 years old and over in Korea and to study the factors of longevity.
Methods: The study included 16 regions with a total of 4,171,016 over 65 years old. The data in this study was collected from The National Statistical Office, Republic of Korea.
Results: Those region the longest were Chollanam (15.8%: 65 years old and over) County in that order. The correlation of longevity factors by social-environment were newspaper (+0.921), fatness (-0.689), local tax revenue (-0.892), divorce (-0.709) and dirt road (+0.672).
Conclusions: We should learn to live long and healthily from residence harmonized with natural environment. Longevity is to be fostered for the promotion of health by control the social-environment factors.
